Free Linux certification testing for LinuxWorld delegates

Jul 29, 2005 — by Rick Lehrbaum — from the LinuxDevices Archive

The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) will offer free and low-cost Linux certification at the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, August 8-11. The exams are free for conference “delegates,” and will be available at the discounted price of $25 for exhibit hall attendees and exhibitors.

LPI will conduct the LPI 101 exam at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9 through Thursday, August 11 at 1:00 p.m., in Room 2001 of Moscone Center West. Candidates are asked to pre-register for an LPI ID number in advance of the conference. Exam candidates should be sure to bring valid photo identification along with their LPI ID number to the exam lab, LPI says.

LPI is incorporated as a non-profit organization. It supports affiliate networks on all five continents worldwide, supporting countries including Brazil, Bulgaria, Jamaica, United States, Japan, Canada, Germany, Australia, China, France, the UK and South Africa.
